The Härkila Scandinavian Trousers have earned their bestseller status the hard way — through years of proven performance in the field across stalking, driven shooting, gamekeeping and woodland work. These are not simply a pair of hunting trousers. The fabric is the foundation: a 55% polyester, 35% cotton and 10% nylon blend that combines the low-noise, soft handle of cotton with the quick-drying performance and resilience of synthetic fibres. In the field this translates to trousers that move silently through woodland and undergrowth — critical for deer stalkers and wildfowlers — while drying rapidly when wet and holding their shape across a full season of hard use. A PFAS-free DWR finish adds water and dirt repellency without harmful fluorinated chemicals, keeping the fabric performing in British weather without compromising environmental credentials.
The active fit is built around an elasticated waistband with a jeans button closure, and stretch panels in the seat, knees and thighs that give genuine freedom of movement whether you're crawling into position, climbing a high seat ladder or pushing through dense cover. The stretch lining — 95% polyester, 5% elastane — ensures the trousers move with you rather than against you across the full range of motion that active hunting demands.
The pocketing is where the Scandinavian Trousers truly set themselves apart from the competition. Large thigh pockets on both legs feature protective flaps with silent magnetic closures — no zip noise, no velcro rip — that keep contents secure without betraying your position. Inside the right thigh pocket is a dedicated cartridge holder for four rifle rounds, immediately to hand when a follow-up shot is needed. Inside the left pocket is a secure mobile phone pocket, keeping your phone protected and accessible without sitting in a hip pocket where it bounces and bulges. To the rear of each thigh pocket are long, mesh-backed ventilation zips that allow air to circulate freely in warm weather while keeping insects and vegetation out — a detail that makes these trousers genuinely wearable year-round.
A hook for shoe lacing at the hem and an adjustment strap complete a thoughtfully considered feature set. Available in Willow Green/Deep Brown in sizes 46–60, with both 30" and 32" leg options across most sizes.
