The Härkila Visent 2.0 GTX is a flagship tall hunting boot built without compromise for the most demanding cold-weather conditions the field can throw at you. Every element of its construction earns its place — from the full-grain leather and nubuck shaft to the GORE-TEX® waterproof lining and Vibram rubber outsole. If you stand in wet ground for hours at a time, sit in a high seat through a January frost, or drive game across flooded fields all day, this is the boot that keeps you on your feet and in the hunt.

The 40cm (16 inch) shaft height is the starting point — tall enough to keep water, mud and debris well clear of the ankle and lower leg in the worst underfoot conditions, yet close-fitting enough through a European last to feel controlled and precise on the foot rather than loose and fatiguing. The full-grain leather and nubuck upper is not only exceptionally durable but naturally moulds to the individual foot over time, becoming more comfortable with every outing in a way that synthetic materials simply cannot replicate. All components are non-wicking by design, meaning moisture does not travel through the boot structure from outside to inside — a critical detail that separates a truly waterproof boot from one that merely delays the inevitable.

The GORE-TEX® lining delivers the benchmark standard in waterproof breathability — keeping feet genuinely dry from outside moisture while allowing perspiration vapour to escape, preventing the clammy, cold build-up inside the boot that renders lesser waterproofing useless on long days. Combined with the warm lining construction specifically chosen for cold-condition hunting, the Visent 2.0 GTX maintains foot warmth even during extended periods of standing still — the scenario where cold feet become a genuine welfare and concentration issue for the hunter.

The Vibram rubber outsole provides exceptional grip across wet grass, mud, rock and uneven ground — Vibram being the globally recognised benchmark for outsole traction performance. An EVA shock-absorbing midsole cushions the foot across hard or uneven terrain throughout long days, while a moulded blown PU footbed cups and supports the foot for sustained comfort. A buckle fastening over the instep allows the fit to be dialled in precisely across the widest part of the foot, with an elastic top closure and quick-locker at the cuff for a secure, draught-free seal around the lower leg. A water-repellent zip and heel pull loop make getting in and out of the boot fast and effortless even in cold, gloved hands.
