Napier Rifle Clean is a uniquely textured, highly absorbent cleaning material designed for rifled bores, though it works just as well on any gun. Supplied on a roll, it is around 75% thinner than a standard cloth patch, so it wraps neatly around a wire brush and moulds to the contours of the rifling to lift fouling out of the grooves rather than skating over the top of them. The material is unaffected by solvents and absorbs them rapidly, carrying the loosened fouling away with each pass rather than simply smearing it around the bore. Because it outperforms cloth patches for both absorbency and strength, less material is needed per clean, and it can be cut to whatever length suits the job in hand. A straightforward, no-nonsense addition to the cleaning kit for anyone who wants their rifled bore properly clear of copper and powder fouling after a day on the range or in the field.
