Tipton's Shooters Swabs are wire-handled cotton swabs designed for the fiddly jobs that a bore brush cannot reach. Each swab is around 4in long, giving enough reach and rigidity to work solvent, oil or preservative into recesses in receivers, bolt bodies and other tight corners of a firearm's action. The wire handle keeps the cotton head firm under pressure, so it scrubs out carbon and old lubricant rather than just pushing it around, and the same swabs work equally well for applying a protective coat of oil once cleaning is done.
