Hawk CRAWLER Deer Cart

First impressions were a well-built cart, let down by cheap far eastern heavy wheels and tyres.
On building it goes together fairly easily, and once build seemed strong with a good powder coat. The axles work as intended allowing articulation over obstacles. Having used one in the field before, they do cope well over moderately rough terrain.
The folding handles do help reduce size to a degree, but the lack of design thought around axle takedown at this price point is disappointing. It would not be beyond the wit of man to design a quick release for the bogies to allow the cart to be made more compact. In the U.K our vehicles are not so carnivorous as the US, therefore fitting this into a U.K pickup as designed, with much other equipment, like deer trays, lifting hoist, ropes, winches, tools, chainsaw etc becomes impossible. I am now carrying a socket set to enable me to put the axles on each time, far from ideal and something I will address on mine before too long, but shouldnt have to.
The wheels are pressed steel, bulky, bolt together (split rims, which are robust but cheap, and being inflated will no-doubt loose air as these types (especially far eastern) do. I would have far preferred to have seen a lighter alloy, or spoked design, with better engineered bearings and less likelihood of punctures/ loss of air. Overall, it seems to fit the bill and no doubt will save me, but the bulk is an issue for most vehicles along with storing at home.
