At 1/2lb (250g) it is light enough for a young pup to pick up and carry without strain, while the very soft filling sits comfortably in the mouth and encourages correct, gentle placement from the very first lessons. There are no toggles, straps or loose parts, so there is nothing to tempt chewing or to risk injury as your puppy learns. The bright orange colour stands out clearly against grass, stubble and cover, helping the handler mark the fall and the pup find the dummy on early marked retrieves.
