Tom's Targets' 1m Poles, Chains and Shackles are the mounting hardware behind their 10mm Hardox 500 AR500 gong and silhouette range, giving you a straightforward way to suspend targets rather than bolt them to a fixed stand. Each pole stands 1m tall and comes complete with a chain and shackle, so a gong, torso or other Tom's Targets AR500 profile hangs and swings freely when struck rather than taking the full shock of a rigid mount. The poles themselves are mild steel rather than hardened Hardox 500 plate - it's the gongs you hang from them that carry the AR500 rating for centrefire use. The shackle makes it quick to swap one target profile for another on the same pole, useful if you run more than one gong pattern through a session. As with any steel-target range, wear eye and ear protection, avoid armour-piercing or steel-core ammunition, and set up so you and any spectators are at a safe minimum engagement distance from the targets.
