The Hard Ground Stand version of Tom's Targets' Pro Stand is a 10mm Hardox 500 AR500 target stand built from four interlocking pieces, sitting on flat ground feet rather than a spike, so it's the version to choose for concrete, hardstanding or compacted ground where a spike won't dig in. It carries Tom's Targets' teardrop gongs, torsos and other AR500 silhouettes, and includes an extension arm fitted to take a Hornady HIT indicator, supplied as standard - the HIT gives a visible flash on impact and, per Hornady, is readable at long range, useful for calling hits when you're shooting from well back. The four pieces interlock without tools, so the stand assembles and breaks down quickly for transport between range days. As with any AR500 steel target, wear eye and ear protection, avoid armour-piercing or steel-core ammunition, and shoot from a safe minimum engagement distance. Tom's Targets rate their Hardox 500 plate for all firearms except .50 calibre and above.
