The Nordik Pre-Tuned Predator Call is a Swedish-designed mouth call built for calling foxes and other predators in cold, demanding conditions. The mouthpiece is freeze-proof so it keeps working reliably through hard frosts, and the call comes pre-tuned at four basic prey sounds, each selected by the position of the o-ring, teeth or lips against the notches on the mouthpiece. At the outermost notch you get sharp mouse and vole squeaks; the two middle notches produce rabbit and hare distress calls, with a coarser, more resonant sound the further back you position the o-ring; and the innermost notch delivers fawn distress calls, which can draw in predators and bears. The call carries a very long way, and varying your blow rhythm — 15 to 25 seconds on, three to four minutes silence — and cupping your hand over the opening adds realism. The mouth call produces sounds exceeding 115 dB, so hearing protection is strongly advised. Simple enough for first-time callers yet trusted by experienced predator hunters across Scandinavia and the UK.
