At 180cm it's built for boots with a lot of lacing to cover — up to around 12 pairs of eyelets according to standard lace-length guidance — which puts it well beyond a normal shoe lace and into the range needed for full-height walking, stalking and rigger-style boots with many eyelet and hook pairs up the shaft.
