- Sized for 12 bore shotguns
A straightforward shotgun cleaning kit from David Nickerson, built for 12 bore guns and sized to fit the case work of a day's shooting or a spot of maintenance at home. The kit is based around a three-piece wooden cleaning rod, which breaks down for storage and joins together for a full-length pull-through of the barrel. A wool mop handles oil and solvent application, while a bronze brush and a spiral brush give two options for shifting fouling and leading from the bore. Everything is housed in a compact plastic case, so the kit stays together and travels easily in a cabinet, game bag or vehicle. It's a no-frills setup rather than a boxed presentation kit, which keeps it sensibly priced while covering the basics any 12 bore owner needs to keep a gun shooting cleanly. Straightforward to use for shooters at any level, and a practical addition alongside oils, patches and solvents for routine gun care.
