A simple, lightweight front rest from Allen that takes the wobble out of bench work. Stood up, it supports your rifle's forend at 5.5 inches high — a sensible height for zeroing off a bench or any flat, stable surface. Folded, it packs completely flat, so it drops into a range bag or rucksack pocket without stealing space, and the semi-rigid construction means it assembles again in seconds with no tools and nothing to lose. A slip-resistant base keeps the rest planted while you work the bolt and settle between shots, which is exactly what you want when you are chasing a tight group rather than fighting your kit. For deer stalkers it earns its keep ahead of the season: zeroing a new scope, confirming zero after a knock in transit, or working through load testing — jobs that all go quicker and truer with a steady front end. Pair it with a rear bag and you have a properly stable zeroing setup that weighs next to nothing and costs little.
