The Birchwood Casey Perma Blue Paste Gun Blue Finishing Kit is an all-inclusive cold-blueing kit for touching up or completely rebluing most gun steel, using Perma Blue Paste rather than the faster-acting liquid formula. The paste is slower to darken than Perma Blue Liquid but builds up a deeper, denser blue-black finish, making it well suited to more thorough refinishing jobs on rifles, shotguns and other sporting firearms. The kit brings together everything needed for a first-class result in one box: Perma Blue Paste Gun Blue, a cleaner-degreaser and a blue and rust remover to prepare the metal properly, 00 steel wool pads for surface preparation, blueing applicators and a sponge to work the paste in evenly, a service cloth, Barricade rust-protection gun wipes to guard the finished work, and a full instruction guide. As with the liquid version, this paste kit will not blue stainless steel, aluminium or other non-ferrous metals, so it is intended for standard blued gun steel.
