Parker-Hale's .270 pistol barrel cleaning rod is a one-piece rod for handgun maintenance in the larger calibre range, .270 through to .45, fitted with the black handle that marks the top end of the Parker-Hale pistol rod line-up. The rod is acetate-covered over a steel core with brass fittings, keeping the bore protected from the abrasion a bare rod can cause, and the handle spins on ball bearings so a brush, mop or jag follows the rifling for a proper clean rather than dragging against it. This version keeps Parker-Hale's own UK male thread as standard, so it's ready to take genuine Parker-Hale brushes, mops and jags straight from the rod without an adapter. Overall length is around 11.4in (289mm) and the rod weighs approximately 114g. Made in the UK, Parker-Hale has supplied gun-cleaning kit to British shooters for decades, and this rod is a straightforward piece of maintenance equipment for anyone running a .270-.45 calibre handgun. Fit a calibre-matched Parker-Hale brush or jag before use.
