This one-piece Parker-Hale rifle cleaning rod is built for .270 calibre rifles and upwards, running 37.5in end-to-end including its black handle. A hardened and tempered steel core keeps the rod straight and rigid over years of use, while a yellow acetate protective coating shields your barrel's bore from abrasion during each pass. The ball-bearing handle spins freely, letting brushes and patches follow the rifling naturally rather than fighting it, for a more thorough and even clean. Brass fittings are used throughout for durability and corrosion resistance. This version carries a female American-pattern thread (USA #8-32 UNC), so it takes popular US-made brushes, jags and mops from brands such as Dewey, Hoppes, Pro-Shot, Tetra and Tipton without needing an adaptor - handy if you've already built up a kit of American-thread accessories. Parker-Hale has been making cleaning rods and gun-care kit in the UK for decades, and this rod is a straightforward, no-nonsense way to keep a .270 or larger rifle barrel in good order between range sessions or after a day's stalking.
