The Barnett Black Widow is the catapult that changed slingshot design, and it remains a benchmark for hand catapults today. Its defining feature is the fold-away wrist brace: engage it for steadier support, better leverage and a longer power stroke, then fold it flat so the catapult slips easily into a pocket, pack or glovebox. The contoured soft-touch grip sits comfortably in the hand and helps you hold a steady aim, while the supplied power bands and shooting guide get you on target from the first shot. Also sold under the King Rat name in the UK, it is a reliable choice for back-garden target practice, plinking and informal shooting, and a familiar sight in many a countryman's kit bag for rough shooting and pest control. Hard-wearing and simple to use, it suits both newcomers finding their range and experienced shots who want a dependable, packable catapult. The power bands are replaceable, so the Black Widow stays in service for years with the occasional band change. A genuine field-sports classic that still earns its place.
