Bore Tech C4 Carbon Remover is a dedicated carbon-fouling solvent for rifle and pistol barrels, built for the toughest carbon deposits — baked-on residue in AR bolts and bolt carriers, flash suppressors, compensators, revolver cylinders, gas pistons, and neglected chambers and throats. Its surfactant-and-penetrant formulation loosens and lifts carbon that other cleaners leave behind, and because it's completely ammonia-free it carries none of the barrel-etching risk of older-style carbon solvents. Bore Tech rate it 100% barrel-safe on chrome-lined, chromoly and stainless steel, as well as non-hazardous, biodegradable and odour-free, so it's practical to use on the bench without harsh fumes. Standard use is to wet patches and a bore brush, work it through the fouled area, then let it soak for 5 to 10 minutes before finishing with dry patches — Bore Tech say it can safely be left to soak indefinitely on badly fouled parts. A final patch dampened with C4 before storage guards against rust and corrosion for up to two weeks. This 4oz bottle suits routine maintenance and smaller cleaning jobs; a 16oz size is also available for regular use across a rack of firearms.
