This Bisley CR2032 is a 3V lithium coin cell sized to power the illuminated reticle on riflescopes and the emitter on red dot sights, along with rangefinders, torches and other small optics that take this common cell format. Lithium chemistry gives it a genuinely long shelf life, with self-discharge of around 1% a year, so a spare in the kit bag stays usable season after season rather than going flat in the drawer. It also holds up well in the field: a wide operating range of -40°C to +60°C means it keeps working through a cold dawn stalk or a baking summer evening on the peg, and its high energy density and discharge current suit the brief power draw an illuminated reticle or red dot needs.
