Parker-Hale's Fieldsman shotgun cleaning rod breaks down into three sections for easy storage in a cabinet or cleaning kit, then joins up for a full-length clean of the barrel. It is turned from top-quality hardwood with a swell handle for a secure grip, and fitted with solid brass threaded ends that take standard UK-spec 12 to 28 gauge male-thread cleaning attachments such as mops, jags and brushes. Assembled, the rod runs to around 88cm, long enough to work a full-length shotgun barrel in a single, controlled pass rather than several short strokes that can drag debris back through the bore. The three-piece design makes it a practical choice for anyone who wants a proper rod to hand at home or in the gun cabinet without the length of a one-piece version to store. Built to the maker's long-standing spec, it is a straightforward, no-nonsense piece of kit for keeping a 12 to 28 bore shotgun properly maintained between outings.
