The Hornady Universal Shell Holder #55 is a reloading press accessory machined for .470 Nitro Express and .500 Nitro Express cases. Precision turned from solid steel and heat-treated, it is built to last the life of the press without wearing or distorting. The wide-mouth opening with a rounded edge lets cartridge cases drop in smoothly, reducing fumbling at the bench and speeding up the reloading cycle. As with all Hornady Universal Shell Holders, a single holder covers every cartridge that shares the same case-head dimensions — so if you are working with other large-bore calibres on the same rim diameter, one holder does the job. It seats securely in Hornady presses including the Lock-N-Load AP and Classic, and is also compatible with most other standard reloading presses on the market.
