- Sport Plast Economy range floating mallard hen duck decoy
- Lightweight plastic construction, made in Italy
- Fitted keel keeps the decoy upright and stable on the water
- Designed to attract mallard and other duck species alike
- Works well alongside drake decoys to build a natural-looking raft
- Economical option for bulking out a decoy spread
The Sport Plast Economy Mallard Hen is a lightweight floating duck decoy, made in Italy and designed for wildfowlers who want a solid working spread without the cost of the maker's premium ranges. Moulded in durable plastic with a keel fitted to the underside, it sits upright and stable on the water, riding a chop convincingly enough to bring birds within range. As a hen decoy it's built to be worked alongside drake decoys of the same range, helping build a natural-looking raft on flight ponds, marshes and estuary flight lines. Because it represents a generic mallard hen, it will draw the attention of other duck species too, not just mallard, making it a versatile addition to any wildfowler's decoy bag. It's a straightforward, no-frills decoy at an accessible price, well suited to building up numbers in a spread or replacing losses without a big outlay. Store it with the rest of your decoy spread and rig it on a cord and weight or anchor line in the usual way for stable positioning on open water.
