It measures 8 1/2 inches long, with a comfortable swelled hand grip and a threaded brass end fitting joined with solid, cross-riveted brass joints for durability. The brass thread is designed to take a Payne Galway cleaning brush across 12 to 28 bore, so one rod covers most shotgun chambers you're likely to be maintaining. Its short length makes it purpose-built for chamber and forcing-cone cleaning rather than running the full length of the barrel, letting you get a brush or mop into the chamber cleanly without risk of marking the bore.
