The Parker-Hale Fieldsman One Piece Shotgun Cleaning Rod is a straightforward, well-made rod for keeping a shotgun barrel in good order between outings. Turned from top-quality hardwood and fitted with solid brass end fittings, it's built as a single fixed-length rod rather than a jointed or sectional design. Parker-Hale describes its shotgun rods as universal, designed to fit bores from 12 gauge down to .410/28 gauge, so one rod covers most smoothbore cleaning needs across a mixed gun cabinet. It's a simple bit of kit rather than a multi-piece travel set, best suited to cleaning at home or in the gun room rather than being carried in a slip. The hardwood shaft is comfortable to handle and the brass fittings are built to withstand repeated use without corroding, in keeping with Parker-Hale's long-standing reputation for gun-care accessories. A sound, no-nonsense choice for anyone wanting to look after a shotgun properly without overcomplicating the job or the kit list.
