- 44in length, grey rod with red handle for small-calibre identification
Parker-Hale's one-piece rifle cleaning rod is built around a hardened and tempered steel core, protected by a tough acetate coating so the rod never abrades the bore as it passes through. The ball-bearing handle spins freely in the hand, letting a brush or jag follow the barrel's rifling rather than fighting against it, and brass fittings at the working end keep corrosion from taking hold over years of use. This version is a grey rod with a red handle, marking it out for small calibres from .22 up to .25, and it runs 44 inches long, giving enough reach for longer rifle barrels. The female thread is cut to the American #8-32 UNC standard, so it accepts jags and brushes from popular US-thread ranges such as Dewey, Hoppe's, Pro-Shot and Tipton rather than the Parker-Hale male pattern. A dependable rod for anyone maintaining a .22 rifle who already runs American-thread cleaning fittings.
