The Parker-Hale Wire Loop is a brass-and-steel patch holder for cleaning a 12 gauge shotgun barrel, made to attach to a Parker-Hale cleaning rod. It holds a flannelette patch or cleaning cloth securely so it can be pulled through the bore to remove fouling, oil residue and powder deposits after a day's shooting. The same loop size also suits 16, 20 and 28 gauge barrels, so one loop covers most of a mixed gun cabinet, and it fits standard Parker-Hale cleaning rods rather than needing anything specialist. It is made in the UK by Bisley/Parker-Hale to the maker's usual standard, and like the rest of the range it is supplied on a blister card for easy display and storage in the gun cupboard. A simple, inexpensive bit of kit, but one that makes a real difference to keeping a shotgun's bore in good condition between outings and over the close season, and a sensible addition to any cleaning kit or gun cabinet.
