- Open-reed mouth call purpose-built for grey and fox squirrel hunting
- Reproduces five distinct calls: alarm bark, distress scream, grey squirrel chatter, grey squirrel squeal and fox squirrel chatter
- Mimics the distress squeal of a young squirrel to draw animals into range
- Compact, hand/mouth-blown design — no batteries or electronics required
- Doubles as a locator call, since squirrel activity often flags other game nearby
- Genuine Primos call — Primos model 373
The Primos Squirrel Buster is an open-reed mouth call built specifically for squirrel hunting, reproducing the full vocabulary of grey and fox squirrel. Blow it right and it delivers the distress squeal of a young squirrel, the alarm bark, the distress scream, grey squirrel chatter, grey squirrel squeal and fox squirrel chatter — five calls in total from the same compact call. That range means it can be used both to draw a curious or agitated squirrel into range and to work a stand where squirrel are already vocal, making it a genuinely versatile bit of kit rather than a one-note gadget. It is simple to carry and quick to get going with a bit of practice, and its distress and chatter notes work well as a locator too, since squirrel activity often signals other game moving nearby. A useful, purpose-built call for anyone working woodland for grey or fox squirrel, and a sound addition alongside Primos's wider range of hunting calls.
