- Bronze bore brush
- Calibre specific
- Provides efficient and thorough cleaning
A calibre-specific bronze bore brush from Tipton, sized for .30 and .32 rifle barrels and covering popular chamberings such as .308 Winchester, .30-06 and 7.62. The phosphor-bronze bristles are softer than barrel steel yet aggressive enough to scour out carbon, powder fouling and copper without harming the rifling, making this a sensible choice for keeping a stalking or target rifle shooting accurately. Each brush is built around a single piece of looped wire that runs through the threaded brass coupler, so the core will not separate and leave bristles stranded in the bore. The 8-32 thread fits standard rod ends used on most rifle cleaning kits, and the bristles are packed to fill the bore for thorough, even contact on every pass. Supplied as a pack of three, you have spares to hand as bristles wear with use, which keeps your cleaning routine consistent over a long season. Match the brush to your calibre, run it on a quality rod with patches and solvent, and you have the foundation of a proper barrel-cleaning regime.
