WEB-TEX's Twist Lock Extending Bivi Pole is a simple, effective support pole for basha, bivi and tarp shelters. A twist-lock collar lets you set the length anywhere from 58cm closed up to 90cm extended, so you can pitch a shelter at the height that suits the ground and the weather. The pole is built from lightweight aluminium in a matt olive green finish that keeps it low-key when stashed in a pack or set up in the field. One end carries a spike for driving into the ground, while the other has a moulded foot that presses up under the fabric without piercing it, plus a small point for threading through the grommet holes found on bashas, ponchos and awnings. A non-slip base helps keep the pole planted once it is under tension. Weighing around 162g and breaking down into two sections, it packs away small and adds very little weight to a bergen or daysack. A straightforward, well-made bit of shelter kit for anyone pitching a basha on exercise, a stalking trip or a wild camp.
