The Bisley Short QD Stud is a quick-detach sling swivel stud for mounting a bipod or sling to a wooden rifle, shotgun or air gun stock. It's the short version of Bisley's QD stud pair, with a 13mm wood screw thread that's typically fitted to the front of the stock or forend, while the longer stud takes the butt. Once screwed into a pre-drilled pilot hole, the stud accepts any standard quick-detach sling swivel or QD bipod adapter, letting you attach and remove a sling or bipod in seconds without tools. It's a simple, effective way to add QD capability to a stock that doesn't already have fitted studs, and studs of this type can be trimmed or ground down slightly if the wood depth at the fitting point is shallower than standard.
