The Bisley BL177 is a brass loop jag for .177 calibre barrel cleaning, made to fit Parker Hale/Bisley threaded cleaning rods. Rather than piercing a patch on a spike, the loop design lets you thread a cleaning cloth or patch through the eye of the jag, so it can be pushed or pulled through the bore to lift out fouling and residue. Solid brass construction stands up to repeated use without damaging the rifling, and the standard Parker Hale/Bisley thread means it screws straight onto any rod using that fitting, taking a fresh patch each pass. It's a simple, inexpensive item, but a proper-fitting jag is one of the small things that makes a real difference to how thoroughly a .177 barrel gets cleaned.
