The Napier Protector 2 is a clever two-in-one slip, made to the same exacting standards as the Protector 1 range but built to solve a different problem: getting a disassembled shotgun safely in and out of the car. In its compact form it stows easily in the boot or behind the seat of even a small car, looking more like a squash racquet case than a valuable gun, which makes it more discreet and secure in transport. At the shoot, you open out the case, lift the stock and barrel from their compartments and can use the padded, fleece-lined surface to assemble the gun on. Extend the barrel sleeve, slide the assembled gun in, and it becomes a conventional slip with all the protection of the Protector 1 range. It will carry any shotgun up to 32" barrel length. The end caps and zip panels are made from harness-quality oak-tanned leather, with double 8mm padding throughout and a fully adjustable sling, giving a tough, waterproof case that shrugs off knocks and scratches whether you're on the grouse moor or at the local clay ground.
