Parker-Hale Rifle Rod .270 Female Yellow Black Handle 37in
S5001
- Parker-Hale one-piece rifle cleaning rod for .270 calibre and upwards
- Hardened and tempered steel core with tough acetate coating
- Ball-bearing handle spins freely so brushes follow the rifling
- Brass fittings resist corrosion at the working end
- Female American #8-32 UNC thread fits popular US-brand jags and brushes
- 37in length suited to most centrefire rifle barrels
- Yellow rod with black handle marks it as a larger-calibre rod
Parker-Hale's one-piece rifle cleaning rod combines a hardened and tempered steel core with a tough acetate coating, keeping bare metal away from the bore as the rod travels the length of the barrel. The ball-bearing handle spins freely, so a brush or jag follows the rifling rather than dragging across the lands, and brass fittings at the working end guard against corrosion. This version is finished as a yellow rod with a black handle, Parker-Hale's colour code for .270 calibre and upwards, and it's 37 inches long, enough for a clean single-stroke pass through most centrefire rifle barrels. The female thread is cut to the American #8-32 UNC standard, so it takes jags and brushes from popular US-thread ranges such as Dewey, Hoppe's, Pro-Shot and Tipton rather than the Parker-Hale male pattern. A solid, purpose-built rod for anyone maintaining a .270 or larger-calibre rifle with an American-thread cleaning kit.
