The Beretta Rifle Snap Caps in 7mm Remington Magnum are a set of two dummy rounds machined from red anodised aluminium, with the Beretta logo on the head and the calibre stamped for unambiguous identification. Snap caps allow you to dry-fire a centrefire rifle without the firing pin striking a bare chamber, cushioning the blow and preventing the fatigue damage to the pin that repeated empty dry-firing can cause over time. For the 7mm Rem Mag shooter — a cartridge popular for long-range deer and driven game work — these are a practical range and fieldcraft tool: use them to run through trigger drills, confirm magazine feeding and ejection, practise safe decocking, or simply demonstrate and handle the action without needing live rounds to hand. The bright red finish ensures they are never confused with live ammunition, and the aluminium body will outlast polymer alternatives with normal use.
