The slim, low-profile cup design keeps the earmuffs clear of the rifle stock during mounting, and the level-dependent microphone system amplifies ambient sounds — such as game movement and range commands — up to the safe threshold of 82 dB, with a smooth cut-off that avoids the abrupt electronic clamp of older designs. An SNR of 26 dB provides solid attenuation of muzzle blast. The foldable headband with stainless steel wire makes the earmuffs easy to stow in a bag or pocket. A J22 input socket connects to two-way radio cables (adapter cables sold separately), extending their usefulness to beaters and pickers-up who need comms alongside hearing protection. Runs on two AAA alkaline batteries with approximately 600 hours of operating time, and an auto power-off function after two hours of non-use helps preserve battery life.
