The Old Bear Xtra Large is the biggest folder in Antonini's Old Bear range, made in Maniago, Italy. It carries a 100mm clip-point blade in hardened AISI 420 stainless (54/56 HRC), finished in black PTFE for a hard-wearing, low-glare coating and salt-etched with the Old Bear logo. Rather than a spring-back lock, the blade is held open or closed by a rotating safety ring in black-anodised aluminium — the simple, traditional locking arrangement the whole Old Bear line is built around. The handle scales are black laminated wood, giving a warm, secure grip that sits well against the dark blade and collar. Closed the knife measures 130mm, opening out to 230mm overall, and at just 46g it carries easily in a pocket without weighing down a jacket or bag.
