Smith's Mr. Crappie 6in Curved Slab-Sticker Fillet Knife is a purpose-built filleting knife for crappie, bass and other pan fish, with a curved 420 stainless steel blade ground thin and flexible so it follows the contour of a fillet close to the bone with minimal waste. The blade takes and holds a sharp edge well, and a few strokes on a sharpening steel restores it quickly when it starts to drag during a session at the cleaning table. The handle is finished in a soft-touch, non-slip TPE grip that stays secure even when wet, giving good control through repeated filleting strokes. A lanyard hole in the handle allows the knife to be tethered to a wrist strap or hung up at the cleaning table between uses. The knife comes with a breathable protective sheath that guards the blade edge and the rest of the kit in a tackle bag, and is built to stand up to a full season of regular use processing a catch of crappie, bass and other pan fish.
