The Smith's Mr. Crappie Slab Slanger is a non-slip, cut-resistant fillet glove developed in partnership with crappie fishing legend Wally Marshall. Built for fish handling and processing in wet conditions, the glove is constructed from HPPE (high performance polyethylene) — a food-grade material that is four times stronger than leather and rated to Cut Level 5. That level of protection stops cuts from gill plates, fillet knives, and swallowed hooks without sacrificing the dexterity needed to work quickly at the fillet table. The flexible knit construction fits most hand sizes, maintains its suppleness in cold, wet conditions, and is both hand and machine washable, making it straightforward to keep clean between sessions. Sold as a pair, these gloves suit freshwater anglers who spend time cleaning catches streamside or at home, and are equally capable in any wet processing task where cut protection and grip are needed.
