Hi-Tec's Rainier is a women's waterproof hiking boot from the brand's All Weather Wear (AWW) range, designed for regular walking and everyday outdoor use in changeable UK weather rather than technical mountaineering. The lightweight synthetic upper in Cool Grey is finished with a PU overlay for structure and support, plus toe and heel overlays that guard against scuffing and a protective rand that shields the lower boot on the trail. A Dri-Tec waterproof and breathable membrane keeps feet dry while allowing moisture to escape, and a soft padded collar holds the ankle securely without rubbing. Underfoot, a lightweight compression-moulded EVA midsole absorbs shock with every step, while a nylon forked shank keeps the boot light but torsionally stable. The sole is Hi-Tec's carbon rubber MDT outsole, cut with deep lugs for grip on the climb and the descent across muddy, rocky or loose ground.
