The Bestard Coolwave is an open, ultra-light shoe built for hikers who want maximum ventilation without giving up protection or comfort. A Microtech and Air-Mesh upper carries strategically placed mesh openings that keep air moving around the foot and block out small stones and trail debris, while a reinforced rubber toe cap adds durability and protection on uneven terrain. Underfoot, a Vibram Fuga outsole with Megagrip compound delivers reliable grip across mixed surfaces, paired with an ultra-light EVA midsole for cushioning and a natural stride. The shoe is built on Bestard's X10 last with a Bestflex 1 super-flexible footbed, and weighs around 620g a pair in EU size 42.
