The Tipton 1911 Mag Well Vise Block is a dedicated fixture for anyone who cleans, maintains or does light gunsmithing on a 1911-pattern pistol. Designed to pair with the Tipton Best Gun Vise, its centre support slides straight into the magazine well and locks in place using the pistol's own magazine catch, giving a steady, secure base to work from. Where a Best Gun Vise isn't to hand, the block can be mounted directly to a bench top using the included fasteners, or the mag well arm can be removed and clamped in a standard bench vise when extra rigidity is needed. The centre section rotates through 180 degrees in adjustable increments and locks at each position, so the pistol can be angled exactly as needed for detail stripping, sight work or barrel bushing removal. A built-in barrel bushing wrench is moulded into the block itself, saving a separate tool. The solvent-resistant polymer construction won't mark the pistol's finish and stands up to repeated contact with cleaning chemicals. Compatible with most .45 ACP 1911 pattern handguns and some 9mm 1911s.
