The Hi-Tec Bandera Expedition Hiker in Dark Gull Grey/Harbour Mist is a waterproof walking boot built for UK hill and forest tracks. A suede and mesh upper is backed by Hi-Tec's Dri-Tec waterproof, breathable membrane, so feet stay dry over wet ground and bog without the boot turning into a sweat box on the climb back up. A ghillie lacing system with rustproof hardware pulls the fit snug around the midfoot, while the padded collar and tongue stop rubbing on longer days. Abrasion-resistant rubber heel and toe caps take the knocks from rock and root that wear away a lesser boot, and a lightweight fork shank keeps the sole flexible underfoot while still resisting twist on uneven ground. Underneath, a removable moulded EVA footbed sits on an impact-absorbing CMEVA midsole for cushioning that lasts the walk, and the M-D Traction outsole is cut to bite going both up and down a hill.
