The Featherweight 196 gives away very little to moderators twice its size. Freyr & Devik quote 29–31 dB of suppression at approximately 196 grams, which works out at around six grams of moderator per decibel of reduction — the figure the Featherweight line was designed around. A titanium core and thread take the heat and erosion in the blast chamber while an aluminium baffle stack keeps the mass forward of the muzzle low, so the rifle still handles like a rifle. It measures 154mm overall with 109mm in front of the muzzle, and 49.5mm in diameter. Like the rest of the Featherweight range it is built to be opened for cleaning rather than sealed for life.
