Woolpower's Long Johns 200 are a merino wool base layer built for cold days in the field, worn next to the skin or as a light second insulating layer under waterproofs. They're knitted from Woolpower's own Ullfrotté Original 200 fabric — a blend of 60% merino wool, 25% polyester, 13% polyamide and 2% elastane with terry loops on the inside that trap air for warmth while the wool wicks moisture away, so you stay dry rather than clammy. The unisex fit is circular knitted with no lengthwise seams, which keeps the legs chafe-free through a long stalk or a day on the hill, and a sewn-in gusset at the crotch adds mobility without the garment pulling tight. Knitted-in cuffs at the ankles and an elasticated waistband keep everything in place under trousers or waders. At around 175g in a size M, they're light enough to layer without bulk, and like all Woolpower garments they're made in the company's own factory in Sweden, machine washable at 60°C for easy care between outings.
