The Woolpower Zip Turtleneck Protection LITE is a certified flame-retardant base layer from Woolpower's Protection range, built for anyone who needs genuine safety certification rather than casual thermal wear. Knitted in a 1:1 rib from 19.5-micron merino wool combined with flame-retardant viscose, it's Woolpower's thinnest and coolest Protection fabric, designed to sit close to the skin as a base layer for high-activity use or warmer conditions, while wool's natural properties still help regulate temperature when it turns cold. The garment is certified to EN ISO 11612:2015 (A1, B1, C1) for heat and flame protection, IEC 61482-2:2018 APC 1 (4kA) for electric arc exposure with an ATPV rating of 6.4 cal/cm2, and EN 1149-5:2018 for antistatic performance - wool doesn't melt, so it helps prevent burns worsening in an accident. A high turtleneck collar with a short zip gives ventilation control, raglan sleeves and rearward-placed seams avoid rubbing under a harness or backpack, and a longer back hem stops gaps appearing when reaching or bending. Made in Sweden, it's intended as the first, closest layer worn under appropriately certified outerwear for full protection.
