Bisley Pewter Pin No.8 Rising Pheasant
S108304
- Depicts a rising pheasant — wings spread, climbing hard away from cover — the classic image of a bird flushing on a driven shoot
- Designed, hand-sculpted and manufactured in the UK from English pewter by pewter specialists A.R Brown & T.S Brown
- Heavily detailed casting picks out the bird's wing and tail feathers rather than a flat stamped outline
- Neat lapel, cap or gilet size, at home on shoot-day tweeds or everyday country wear
- Makes a small, straightforward gift for anyone who shoots pheasant or simply likes the image
- Part of a wider Bisley pewter pin series covering game birds, gundogs and deer, so it can be paired with matching designs
Bisley's Pewter Pin No.8 Rising Pheasant captures a cock pheasant at the moment it flushes — wings spread and climbing hard away from cover, the classic sight on a driven shoot. It belongs to the same range of English pewter badges as Bisley's other countryside pins, designed, hand-sculpted and manufactured in the UK by pewter specialists A.R Brown & T.S Brown and cast with the heavy, three-dimensional detail the range is known for rather than a flat stamped outline, so the bird's wing and tail feathers stand out clearly rather than being reduced to a silhouette. Small enough to wear on a lapel, cap or gilet without looking out of place, it makes a natural badge for anyone who shoots pheasant or simply likes the image, and it is supplied ready to give as a gift with no extra wrapping needed. It sits alongside other bird, gundog and deer designs in Bisley's pewter pin series, and works as a small addition to a shooting-themed gift or a personal collection built up piece by piece.
