The Pixfra Mile 2 M413 is a compact handheld thermal imaging monocular built for night observation, deer stalking, foxing and pest control. A 384×288, 12μm thermal sensor with sub-25mK NETD sits behind a 13mm f1.0 objective lens, giving a detection range of up to 700m and picking out an animal's outline clearly even in total darkness. Images are shown on an 800×600, 0.32in OLED display with six colour palettes to suit different conditions, and 1.40x base magnification with 1x/2x/4x/8x digital zoom. The Mile 2's slimline body folds the power button into the Pixfra logo, keeping the top of the unit uncluttered, and at 320g it is genuinely pocketable for a long watch on the hill. An IP67 rating protects it against dust, driving rain and fog, and it keeps working from –30°C to +55°C. Built-in Wi-Fi streams live view to up to four phones or tablets over the free Pixfra app, and the M413 records video and stills to its own 16GB of internal storage. A rechargeable battery gives up to 8 hours of use, and a soft pouch, neck strap and wrist strap are included.
