The Hornady A-TIP Match is a precision-engineered component bullet for reloaders seeking the absolute highest levels of long-range accuracy. Designed for .30 calibre cartridges using a .308" diameter, this 230 grain projectile is the result of years of development by the Hornady Ballistic Development Group. The centrepiece is a precision-machined aluminium tip — longer than conventional polymer tips — which shifts the centre of gravity rearward, enhances in-flight stability and dramatically reduces drag variability between rounds. Combined with Hornady's refined AMP (Advanced Manufacturing Process) bullet jacket, which delivers industry-leading uniformity and concentricity, and an optimised boattail geometry, the A-TIP produces Doppler radar-verified low drag coefficients that are forgiving of small variations in twist rate, seating depth and muzzle velocity. Bullets are sequentially packaged straight off the press with minimal handling to ensure clone-like consistency from one projectile to the next. A polishing bag is included to prepare bullets before loading. Note: use of the Hornady A-TIP seating stem is required for optimal bullet seating. Sold as component projectiles — no FAC required to purchase in the UK.
