The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 2-Die Set for 7x57R Mauser (.284) gives handloaders a precision-machined toolset built to work the rimmed 7x57R case to SAAMI minimum dimensions and seat bullets with consistent alignment. The Full-Length Size Die incorporates an Elliptical Expander — Hornady's own design — which sizes the neck more smoothly than conventional ball expanders, reducing friction and limiting case neck stretch without needing a separate expander die. The Elliptical Expander and hardened steel Headed Decap Pin attach to the Zip Spindle, which locks positively to prevent slippage and allows both fine incremental adjustments and quick coarse movement in a single action. The In-line Bullet Seating Die uses a floating alignment sleeve to hold bullet, case neck and seating stem in perfect co-axial alignment before the bullet enters the neck, improving seating consistency and accuracy. A built-in roll-crimper removes the need for a separate crimp die. Both dies are fitted with Sure-Loc lock rings that clamp around the full die body without thread contact, and everything ships in a stackable storage box.
