The Hornady Primer Pocket Uniformer (Large) is a precision case-preparation tool aimed at handloaders who want maximum consistency from every round. Where a cleaner removes fouling and a reamer strips a military crimp, this tool goes a step further: it machines the primer pocket to a uniform depth, squares the pocket floor to the case head, and removes any rounded corners left by the forming die or previous firings. The result is that every primer in a batch sits at exactly the same depth, which delivers more consistent ignition and tighter extreme-spread figures at the chronograph. The uniformer features an adjustable depth stop and a tensioning nut so you can set your preferred depth once and reproduce it across an entire bag of brass. The 8-32 threaded shank fits the included Hornady Universal Accessory Handle and is also compatible with the Case Prep Trio, Case Prep Center, and any handle with matching threads. Note that this tool does not remove military staked crimp; use a reamer or swage tool on crimped cases first.
