The Hornady Seater Die #8 is a precision bullet seating die for handloading .284 / 7mm rifle cartridges. Hornady's In-line Bullet Seating System is central to this die's performance: the bullet, case neck and seating stem are held in precise alignment within a floating sleeve before the bullet enters the case neck, ensuring consistent seating depth and the kind of shot-to-shot uniformity that handloaders work hard to achieve. The alignment sleeve is included as standard, at no extra cost — an advantage over some rival systems. A built-in roll crimper allows you to crimp without a separate die, saving time and a press station. The Sure-Loc lock ring secures the full die body with constant, even clamping pressure; because the locking screw does not contact the die threads, both components are protected during repeated adjustments. Integrated wrench flats make fitting and removal straightforward without risking damage from pliers. A retainer ring near the base of the die removes in seconds for cleaning. Thread is standard 7/8"-14, fitting any press that takes standard dies. Shell holder is not included.
